Goodbye, March! It’s crazy to think that this past month marked one whole year of the Coronavirus pandemic. In our home, the month of March was filled with lots of looking forward to spring and spending more time outside with my toddler (even on the cold days).

In this post, you’ll find a few of my favorite things that I have been enjoying the most over the past month or that my family has found to be super useful! It is my hope to share with you a few items every month and pass along some recommendations or joy to other families! Hope you find something helpful here!

My Favorite Things for March 2021

Toddler Learning Tower Kitchen Stand

This item has quickly become one of our most-used and most-loved items in our house! It did not take long for our son to learn to climb up and down and we have it placed at our kitchen island so that he can get “up” to help us in the kitchen without needing us to hold him all of the time (although, it doesn’t stop him from still asking to be held!). If you want to read even more about our thoughts on this budget-friendly Toddler Kitchen Buddy stand, we wrote up our review in a separate blog post.

Love Language Conversation Cards

I recently grabbed this deck of conversation cards to use for date nights or occasionally during dinner conversations with my husband. I love how beautifully the box and each of the cards are decorated and anticipate some great conversations based on this deck of cards!

Truthfilled Bible Study

After some great honest conversations with one of my best friends and asking for accountability for jumping back into studying God’s Word, she offered to walk through a Bible Study with me (virtually!) - so we landed on this Truthfilled study by Ruth Chou Simons. I’ll be honest, I am expecting to go through quite slowly, but am already working my way through the introduction chapters and have found myself quite encouraged. Even though the full study is in Colossians, there have been some convicting intro passages in Psalms that have really touched my heart. Let me know if you happen to grab this study as well, and we can stay in touch about what we are learning together!

Toddler Rain Boots

Hands down, our absolute most-asked-for item in our house this past month! My son is VERY familiar with this item (and word!) now and is always saying “boots! boots!” when he is ready to go outside to play. I love the simplicity and ease of use of these boots. They have been super easy to slide on (and sometimes too easy to slide off). At only 16 months old, there is still a bit of room for my son to grow and I’m hopeful that this size will get us through the rainy season of spring. The size Toddler 5 says that it is a 13cm boot, but they fit my son really well when he is wearing thicker socks. Normal socks show that they are a bit on the big side yet, but not too big that he can’t get around. (Honestly, he is literally running in these boots most days that we are outside in the yard.) In regards to sizing, I was surprised to find that this brand of Toddler 5 is actually smaller than another brand Toddler 4 that I purchased as a gift for one of my nieces. So if you’re in need of a small toddler boot, I would recommend checking the size chart and grabbing a pair of these - they even come in several colors!

To-Do List Notepad

I snagged this To-Do List notepad this past month to help keep track of cleaning around my house. I’m super blessed to have my sister stopping by once a week to watch Oliver and help with some housework and routine cleaning. Not only did I love the colors of this notepad, but I also really like the larger circles for the checklist and enjoy filling them in halfway if something was started and not finished, or filling it in the whole way when completed!

Favorite Black Leggings

Favorite might be an understatement. I love these leggings SO much that I bought them in two additional colors. I love the medium-weight of the thickness of the fabric and find that the super high-waist doesn’t roll down or fold over on my stomach like some other high-waisted leggings tend to do. So far, these have been my favorite because they stay in place so well - which this mama’s post-baby body finds to be a high value!

3-Pack Scrunchie Apple Watch Bands

Back before Christmas, I found my first-ever scrunchie watch band from a local shop and adore how easy it is to slip my apple watch on and off of my wrist! I had been looking around for other scrunchie watch bands and decided to try out this pack of three because of the simple neutral colors of the fabric in this set. The white is even a lace fabric, which I find to be super cute. I purchased these bands in the Small size (the other option was Large), and find them to be a little bit on the small size, which seems crazy because I have small wrists, to begin with. I still think that the small was the right choice, as I found that my original scrunchie watch band stretched over time and often felt too loose, so hopefully that is less of an issue with this set.

Toddler Waterfall Bath Toy

I bought these waterfall bath toys for my son’s Easter basket… but he saw them before I got them out of sight and then kept asking to play with them. It probably has something to do with the fun googly eyes. This waterfall toy has been lots of fun during bath time in our house - and it’s great to watch his coordination as he learns to grab the cup and dump it into the other three on the side of the tub!
