August was not an overly exciting month for us - I had surgery at the end of July and was required to be off my foot for nearly 4 weeks - almost the entirety of August, stuck at home or only short trips since I couldn’t walk a lot. But the end of August, when I was able to start walking around again, we visited the Baltimore Orioles for a day game, and the kids ended the month with some sickness - not fun!

Crocs Off Court Clogs
I’ve never been a huge fan of Crocs - I used to wear them when I worked at coffee shops and they were amazing for being on your feet all day, but only recently decided to grab some again since I need extra support and cushion for my feet post-surgery. I thought this newer style - the “off-court” style - was so cute! I still feel like I have clown shoes on, but they are so great for walking around the house!

Simple Modern Tumbler
Can you ever have too many water bottles?! 😅 As much as I love some of my larger tumblers with handles, this 24 oz. tumbler is so sleek and chic. I love the subtle terrazzo pattern on cream white. And it keeps my drink cold ALL day! Also love that it comes with two silicone straws and the opening for the straw is a tight sealed silicone hole to help keep it in place and doesn’t leak as quickly.

Under Sink Storage Shelves
We had a major leak under our kitchen sink this month and while waiting for our landlord to get it fixed, it seemed like a great time to clear everything out from under the sink and get some better storage and organization for all of the supplies that I keep under there. I found this set of 2 storage shelves on Amazon for an amazing price for both of them and love that the bottom shelf slides out easily to get anything you are storing in the back. They both fit under my sink easily!
The flexible 2-tier under-sink organizers are compact but let them comfortably share space with pipes in the limited space. Lower-tier sliding cabinet drawer baskets allow easy access to the under-sink area. The pull-out cabinet organizer is not only suitable for the kitchen and bathroom under sinks but is also used for coffee bars, closets, laundry rooms, pantries, garages, and so on.
Bamboo Laptop Desk
Spending 3 - 4 weeks in bed or on the couch with my foot elevated meant that I needed a better way to get my work done! I did a lot of research and came across this bamboo laptop desk tray for an amazing price - it is really sturdy, has expandable legs, the laptop tray can raise up and down, and there is extra room on the right side of the tray for my mouse.
This bamboo lap desk is beautiful, sturdy, and adjustable. With two flower shapes on the surface, the heat of the laptop can be easily dissipated, and the leg of the laptop table is adjustable to make sure everyone can put his & her legs comfortably under the tray.
Hot Potato Game
I purchased this Hot Potato plush game on a whim during one of my Target pick-up orders and it has been a HUGE hit with our kids! It was a great game to play as a family when I couldn’t move from the couch too much and the concept of throwing the potato to each other before the music turned off provided lots of giggles and screams of joy from my toddlers. Our one-year-old had a harder time with the concept, but she still loves carrying it around and running with it in her arms and then suddenly throwing it and saying “oh no!” in the cutest way possible. Highly recommend!
The Musical Toss-the-Spud Game. Quick! Pass the hot potato to your friend … but don't get caught when the music stops! This electronic musical potato is soft to the touch and easy to toss. With a random timer, you never know when the music will stop. Winner, winner, fries for dinner!
Worship Coloring Book
There was a day this month when my son asked if I would color him a picture out of this coloring book that I have and requested that I do the sunflowers. This was a nice way to change pace with my kids and do a little bit of coloring while also reflecting on the hymn on this page.

I have never been more grateful for a pair of shoes! I’ve shared about these shoes a lot and found them on sale for an incredible price this month. I’ve been wearing them all over the place since my surgery since they are SO comfortable and provide a lot of support! They are easy to slip on and off and I’m honestly so tempted to grab another pair in a new color at some point.

Soft Square Backpack Tote
I bought this new tote bag/backpack on a whim during a Target pick-up order specifically to keep my Bible and all of my Bible Study supplies in one easy-to-grab bag. I wanted a bag that I could easily grab and take with me to Bible Study at church or move around the house depending on where I decide to sit down to read and study. Fancy Special Sprinkles
Growing up, buttered toast with cinnamon sugar was a staple in our house - especially if we needed a late-night snack before bed, something simple in the morning, or something easy to eat when we weren’t feeling good. Toddler Air Mattress
It turns out that our 3-year-old had strep throat towards the end of the month and had lots of nights of not being able to sleep very well. As much as I like some snuggles in my bed, I don’t really want my kids pushing me out of my bed all night, so we have made the decision that our kids are always welcome to sleep on the floor in our room when they are having a hard time or not feeling well. But I also didn’t want my sick boy on the hard floor, so we grabbed our toddler air mattress out of the basement and stuck it in a corner of our room for the nights that he needed to be closer to us.
