There are some things that I have found that have become absolute favorites of mine and become my “go-to” for gifting to other people! There’s nothing I love more than personal recommendations from other people. So I want to share with you one of my favorite products from when my son was a newborn and that we used ALL. OF. THE. TIME. Every nap, nighttime sleep, and snuggle, we always turned to our favorite baby swaddle - the Lou Lou & Company swaddles!

These Lou Lou & Company swaddles are something that I had on my baby registry and didn’t receive… but I still bought two different versions for myself, along with one of their cute little nightgowns before I had my first son. I got one jersey swaddle and one sweater knit swaddle (since our son was born during the cold months). My husband and I commented several times that we were so glad that we had two swaddles so that we always had one available when one needed to go in the wash. (You know, ‘cuz babies somehow always pee through their diapers!)

Overall, the regular jersey material was our absolute favorite - the swaddle was SO big and wrapped nice and tight so that our little guy couldn’t wiggle out of it too easily. (How is it that babies squirm so much?!) I also had a few muslin swaddles from other companies that I thought looked cute, but they never stayed as tight or in place when we put our son down to sleep.

The Best Gift for a Baby Shower

I loved this product SO much that I recently gave it as a gift to a friend who was having her second baby girl! I was so excited to hear someone else’s opinion and was hoping she would love this swaddle as much as we did! Her feedback in a text message the other day was nothing but love for this swaddle! “Thank you again! I am obsessed with it. Soft and stretchy!” Hooray!

After having two babies of my own, I have also heard from the labor & delivery nurses both times that they really loved our swaddle and many even commented that they wanted to gift one to a colleague or friend. I think that says a lot about this product!

Now I am almost always gifting these swaddles, even if they aren’t on someone’s registry (although I do go by whatever colors or theme they have on their registry so it fits with their requested decor or outfits).

I also grabbed a new knotted gown and swaddle blanket when I had my second baby… our first girl. Since having my son a few years ago, they have also introduced pajama sets and rompers and I am considering grabbing some of those at some point in the future for both kids!
