Even though our son was born a month before Christmas last year and this is not technically his first Christmas, now that he is over a year old, it feels like this is his first Christmas. I can’t wait to see his joy on Christmas morning as he gets to rip open some gifts and enjoy some of that Christmas magic for the first time in his sweet little life!
While we are super blessed and don’t need a lot of stuff for our little boy this year, I still created a list of items that we put on our wishlist for our little man this Christmas season, and I am also going to include some items that we have gotten for ourselves or received as gifts over the past few months that I would recommend for babies from 12-24 months or for the early stages of toddler life!
GIFT IDEAS FOR TODDLERS
The gifts that I’m suggesting for babies and toddlers this season are items that we have and use or ideas that we have put on our wishlist for our little man this year. These are great gift ideas for babies from 12-24 months old or for toddlers from 1-3 years old.
TOYS
Living in a small house, I am always trying to think strategically about the toys we bring into our house for our little boy within our limited space that we have available! Most of our toys fit into small fabric bins in our living space or can be placed on our existing bookshelf stands. Many of the toys that I have listed in this gift guide are favorites in our household or have been chosen carefully to be added into our home this Christmas season! And remember - you can also browse local thrift stores or shop second-hand on Facebook Marketplace or with other family to find some of these gifts - that’s how we acquired many of these toys for our little man!

BOOKS
Over the past few months leading up to turning 1 year old, it has been increasingly obvious that our little boy just LOVES books! He also is showing a great love for anything musical, which I am being intentional to embrace even when it might become annoying in the future. I have also included some of our little man’s favorite books that he will reach for over and over and hand to us to read again and again - all in one sitting!

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES FOR BOYS
Christmas is a great time to stock up on some new jammies, cozy slippers, and winter gear for your toddler! Our little man is not quite walking at the age of 13 months, but I just know we won’t be able to keep him out of any piles of snow that come around this winter season - so I am already looking for snow gear that he will be able to grow into all season and that we can keep around as hand-me-downs for the future (or be able to pass along to other friends or family).

MEALTIME
We’ve been offering baby-led weaning to our little man ever since around 6 months and these are a few of my favorite items that we have in our house as he continues to work on eating on his own - and a few items that we would love to add to our household! We’re also transitioning away from bottles and I love the idea of these transitional tops for our Comotomo bottles - an absolute favorite in our house! Recently, our little man has been extremely interested in what is going on in the kitchen while we are cooking and I would love to introduce one of these kitchen helper stands in our kitchen - while it will take up a significant amount of space, I know it will be worth it to have our little guy able to help out with mealtimes or just be closer to the action when we are preparing food or making cookies!

BATH TIME
Bath time is one of our favorite times in our house! I’ve included a few items that we have for bath time that make playing in the tub more fun, and also have a few items on our wishlist to make bath time more enjoyable! All of these toys are intentionally able to drain water and dry so that they can’t hold any mold.
